What is the documentary about?
In May and July 2025, Keoni and Cheryl of "Human of This Planet" visited Khmer Ocean Life to listen to Chhayhy’s and Nathan’s stories, experiences, and dreams, following them in their day-to-day lives, visiting family and friends, and documenting their work with Khmer Ocean Life. In the documentary, you get a small glimpse into their life in Cambodia and their impactful work as marine scientists who are fighting to protect Cambodia’s marine wildlife.
Who are "Human of this planet"?
Human of This Planet is an initiative brought to life by Cheryl and Keoni, a duo with experience in social work, storytelling, and filmmaking. Together, they traveled around Cambodia to share the untold narratives of people from all walks of life. By listening to people’s life stories, dreams, and struggles, they capture an honest picture of Cambodian life, humanity, and the people who make the world so diverse, complex, and beautiful.
