Bycatch and stranding project officer

Start Date: as soon as possible

​Responsibilities include:

● Implement further phases of the ongoing Cambodian Marine Mammal Bycatch and Stranding Network.

● Continue implementation of ongoing bycatch mitigation trials.

● Conduct social science surveys, such as questionnaires.

● Report writing and dissemination of findings.

● Data collection, management, and analysis.

● Contribute to publishing peer-reviewed research.

● Project administration and quarterly project financials.

● Liaise with community members and government officials.

● Conduct outreach and training events for fishers and fishing community members.

● Support existing and new stakeholder relationships.

● Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members and provide ongoing training and support to the team.

● Supervise Khmer and international thesis students.

● Uphold organisation values.

● Other responsibilities as identified.

 

Salary and Benefits:

● USD 550-650, depending on experience

● Other benefits (seniority, NSFF, bonus)

● USD 350-400, depending on experience

● Other benefits (seniority, NSFF, bonus)
